The 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air, the first of the second generation body style, was dubbed the "Hot One" when being advertised by GM.
The 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air was fully equipped with features found on lower model ranges with additions such as interior carpet, chrome headliner bands and stainless steel window moldings.
The 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air moved up in power with the addition of the V8 option with the choice of a two-speed or three-speed transmission. The base V8 put out a whopping 162bhp and with a few upgrades, could belt out up to 180bhp.
